i haven't been to a kh in decades, so i get the google alerts for jws and i got one featuring a local news channel in brooklyn covering the assembly being held in flatbush, brooklyn.
i'm sure that venue is where the circuit assemblies are usually held, keeping in mind it's summer and that's when the district assemblies are being held.
why are they acting like they're so strapped for cash and now holding district assemblies in circuit assemblies locations ?.
Where I used to live they went from a big venue with plenty of seating to a terrible one where there are NO seats . We were an hour early and people were walking out because it was full.I had never seen that happen before .
The seats were uncomfortable to say the least and families couldn't sit together. It was 2 seats here 1 seat there....Awful.
Now looking back I'm sure it was to save money.Everyone was saying greatest ever and I was like get me tf outta here.

the coordinators committee formed a focus group from service and teaching committees.
the results of that group roughly three+ years ago, with gb approval, trickled down to the other committees and eventually into what we have been seeing before our eyes in the org and local congs.. pick an organizational level and see the shift.

it's been established that the wt convinced the bulgarian government that there are "no sanctions" on jws who accept blood transfusions, in order to obtain legal recognition by that government.
my question is this:.
does the wt actually now allow bulgarian jws to accept blood transfusions without consequence?.

Honestly I never cared about this . I mean they make a profit what do i care. The builds WERE fun (unlike the current ones). Why would I care if they are using the money from us in the US to fund other areas. I never saw harm in it until I found out about the pedophilia problem...... It all comes back to honesty .
my sister texted me last night with an invitation to watch our dad give his first ever public talk.
i don't live particularly near to my family, but i'm not too far from them to make the journey, and i am on good terms with them, having never been baptised and so not disfellowshipped; they don't shun me and likely wouldn't even if i were disfellowshipped, it's not in their character.. i haven't been inside a kingdom hall since 2006, and i would like to keep it that way; i only intend to step inside one again in the event of a family wedding or funeral service.
i don't want to be rude to my sister, ignoring the text isn't an option, so i need a diplomatic way of declining her invitation.. i've considered saying that i'm busy, but this leaves things open for her to ask again in the future, and i'd rather she got the message that i'm not interested, without me having to say so in an explicit way.. any suggestions from those who have been in a similar situation?.
It's a tough decision. I would not go because it would confuse them and they WOULD think that there is hope. Absolutely no good way out of it. Best just to say you had to work! Or had a ingrown hair and couldnt make it. Or youre herpes from having so much worldly sex is acting up!
how does the watchtower dispose of kingdom halls no longer usable because of poor attendance and or merging with another kingdom hall.the rank and file contributed lots of money to keep it active.. then they tell us their not using it anymore.where does the money for that hall go.
and what they do with the money they get for the sale of that property.
they certainly don't give the rank and file anything.. and what use will the new owners use it for.
